GET INTO A RELATIONSHIP WITH YOUR CUSTOMERS

Now I know what you are thinking!….and I’m not suggesting you go dating your list contacts to meet your conversion targets! What I am saying is that a strong personal/business relationship with your list will be a bond your competitors will find hard if not impossible to break.

Friends don’t need to sell friends using sales techniques. You don’t need more sales techniques, you need more friends!

That being said this is not a simple and quick strategy to pursue…. for me I’d need to have some real common ground and would need to enjoy his/her company at a football game or dinner with family etc. If you can find that common ground subtly leverage that and build from there. Lots of gems of wisdom are as relevant today as they were back then.
